1993 was the 40th anniversary for Corvette. In order to celebrate the occasion, the "40th Anniversary" package was created. The 40th Anniversary package included special Ruby Red Metallic paint and a Ruby Red interior. It also has headrest embroidery and bright emblems on the hood, deck and side-gills.

The 40th Anniversary Corvette was a limited edition run. Total production for all 1993 Corvettes was 21,590 vehicles. A total of 6,749 cars were produced with the 40th anniversary package which is labeled as the Z25 option. This option package retailed for $1,455.00 and was available on both the convertible and coupe models.

The 40th Anniversary Corvette convertible with the LT1( 5.7 -liter 350 cubic inch V8) engine develops a 10.5 to1 compression ratio to garner 300 horsepower. The torque is rated at 340 ft.-lbs. The bore and stroke are 4 inches and 3.48 inches, respectively.

Being offered for sale is a 40th Anniversary Convertible, which  is truly a Corvette of distinction. The car comes with all console and glove box documentation, copies of the “Build Sheet” and Window Sticker and a 1993 GM Corvette Assembly Manual. It has 46,500 documented miles and is nicely optioned with: a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission; Power Sport Leather seats (driver & passenger); Power Steering; Power Brakes; Power Door Locks; Power Heated Outside Mirrors; Power Windows; Cruise Control; Air Conditioning; and a AM/FM/CD/Cassette Player Delco / Bose Music Stereo System. The car has been owned and well maintained by the seller since 2002 and has garnered the most prestigious awards conferred by the National Corvette Restorers Society based on the car’s originality and condition. These awards include: 6 NCRS Top Flight Awards at the Chapter, Regional and National level, the NCRS Performance Verification Award, and the extremely prestigious NCRS Hill Mark of Excellence Award, an award created by the National Corvette Restorers Society in honor of Mr. David C. Hill, Chief Engineer for the Chevrolet Corvette from November 18, 1992 until his retirement January 1, 2006. The Hill Award recognizes individuals for the restoration and preservation of 1993 - 1999 Corvettes.To achieve this coveted award, an owner must attain a judging score of at least 97% out of 100 based on an original "as manufactured" standard at a National or Regional NCRS event; as well as present the car for a rigorous performance test of all vehicle mechanical components and functions, all of which must operate as those of a new car, without a single failure. Finally, the car must again score at least 97%, at a National NCRS Convention, to receive the Hill Award. The process of achieving the Hill Award requires attendance at a minimum of three events, and must be completed within a three year period. Only 25 1993-1999 Corvettes have achieved the Hill Mark of Excellence. In recognition of the outstanding quality of this 40th Anniversary 1993 convertible, the car was honored with inclusion in the NCRS Gallery at Corvettes at Carlisle in 2011.
