1965 was critical year in the evolution of the Corvette, which was already well recognized as a “head turning” world class sports car.  This was the year 4-wheel disc brakes were introduced, the legendary Rochester Fuel Injection system was retired and the L78 396ci/425hp engine was introduced, as the first big block engine in a Corvette. In 1965 the Corvette buyer had 6 engine configurations from which to choose. Detroit was the epicenter of the automobile world and the American economy and the muscle car era was in its heyday. Perhaps the most under the radar offering in mid-year Corvette era is the 1965 L76 327/365hp 4-Speed roadster. Here you have the highest horsepower carbureted mid-year small block engine providing awesome power, without sacrificing the agility and drivability indicative of small block Corvettes. This is a Corvette for the driver who appreciates acceleration, whose ears perk up at the sound of solid lifters and who welcomes the ability to take a curve, with ease and precision. This is a mid-year Corvette offering it all, for those who appreciate what is the heart and soul of the Corvette.

Being offered is a truly excellent 1965 Nassau Blue, with Blue interior and White soft top L76 327/365hp 4-Speed Corvette, with power brakes and tinted windows. This is a an original body “no hit” car, which received one repaint in 1993 in base coat / clear coat and today presents in very good condition. The interior is mostly original and in good condition. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt. The underbody is original, solid, rust and damage free and completely restored. Never off its original frame, this Corvettes drives like only a factory mounted Corvette drives. On three occasions the most knowledgeable and experienced 1965 Corvette Master Judges have scrutinized this Corvette and found it to be a Top Flight Corvette, conferring  2 NCRS Regional Top Flight Awards and an NCRS National Top Flight Award on the car. The NCRS Judging Sheets are available.
